About our Trillium
Changes we made to our Trillium:
New vinyl wood look flooring with a 25 year guarantee, All new running lights were put in about 2 months ago, New faucets, the water-in, (You connect a hose at your campsite to the camper for this one) and the pump faucet which works with a water storage container under the floor of the Trillium. All rear windows and vent cover on top of camper resealed, New upholstery, and new foam in the bed/dinette, New blue exterior decal stripes, New Trillium decal logo on front rock cover and rear wheel cover, new tires, new wheel bearings 2 years ago, brakes, checked and maintained 2 years ago. A new top bunk barrier that my husband designed that clamps onto the top bunk and keeps little people from rolling out. An Air conditioner that sits on top of a shelf that we built that sits into the rear window and takes about 5 minutes to set up when you get to your campsite. Living in the Northwest, we have only had occasion to use it twice. It works great and cools the camper down quickly. It stores under the bottom bunk bed. This storage space was originally meant for the porta-potty, but we found it useful for storing the air conditioner.
Features: Sleeps 4, the back of the couch folds up into the top bunk. The metal posts to keep the top bunk up are stored in the closet, The double bed converts into a dinette, In the kitchen there is a 4 burner stove, and sink with two faucets, and a small refrigerator that runs on gas. You can run it on gas while driving. Incredible storage for such a small camper. Overhead storage and under the bunk storage. We stored life jackets for four, folding chairs for four, the awning, and poles, kites, games, toys, etc. The storage in this camper was really well designed. This camper comes with the original awning which slides into a metal guide on the top of the camper. It comes with three metal poles and you anchor the corners of the awning with rope and stakes. This awning is heavy weight and we found this to be a two person job putting it up. Additions made by previous owner: A really nice screen door was added and a metal shelf in the kitchen both of which are part of my favorites. No bugs and places to put everything while you are cooking. I cooked a lot in this camper and opened up the top vent and window in front of stove and never had issues with cooking smells staying with the camper.
Items that are not perfect or could be fixed: One of the rear stabilizers off the rear bumper has to be held up with a bungee cord when not in use, the stainless steel stove top is prone to rust and must be maintained from rust to keep it looking ok, (We were thinking of having it coated with porcelain to reduce maintenance) and the door that stores the air conditioner under the bottom bunk bed has to be held close by a bungee cord because I can't find the interior replacement piece to the locking mechanism on the handle, and it is time for the wallpaper that covers the bottom of the top cabinets to be replaced. The furnace worked when we bought the camper, but I was never comfortable using gas while we were sleeping, so we used an electric heater that we plugged into the camper. Make sure you don't go over the amps limit or you have to keep resetting the inverter button. I can't get the furnace to lite now so if you want a gas furnace it is ready for maintenance.
